I think the best way to describe what's been going on in my life for the last two weeks is abbreviated list-mode.
Germany
I'll start by giving a nod to Germany, where I went two weekends ago with Somer to visit Katja and her family. We stayed with her grandma and were very fortunate every morning to have a huge breakfast of brochen (typical German breakfast food that I definitely appreciated more this time around), cheeses and meats. I've never been so full.
Highlights: I'll never love anything more than the German zoos where you can just walk right into the animal cages. We brought Katja's little brother Torben (age 6) and sister Jule (age 2), but I was definitely acting the youngest out of everyone present. But let's be real. Who wouldn't stay in the cage for a half an hour if there were bunnies and guinea pigs together in the same cage. I just can't get over it!
Another highlight: The miniature horses everywhere. Ok, I swear this entire trip isn't about how obsessed I am with menagerie animals, but look at this picture:
Oops, my bad. I meant this one:
Here's some more pictures so they're not only of small animals:
We saw lots of castles, walked in the forest, ate kangaroo and emu at a Mongolian grill and then (these events may or may not be in chronological order) went to a huge club called Index where each of the however million rooms had a different theme and different music. But we were only there for an hour. Let me explain with as much sensitivity as possible by changing the names of everyone involved:

Bean: No one's going to dance? FINE. Let's go home. (stomps off.)So now that you know I'm not splayed across the Autobahn, so begins my rehashing of Kosovo.
Penny: I have to leave because I have circulation problems. I can't breathe and I have a fever!
Bean: Really? Really?Penny: I can't even drive us home. I'm shaking too much. I'm blacking out right now. Everything is blurry!
Bean: Well, I'm not paying for a cab because we're sitting in a car right now.
Bonnie: Do you think we should just sit here for an hour or something until you can go, Penny?
Bean: No. Absolutely not. Let me drive.
Bonnie: You don't know how to drive on the Autobahn.
Bean: Uh, yes I do.
Eminem: You're not insured under my car. You can't drive it.
Bean: Ok then. Penny, pull yourself together and drive.
Penny: Do you want to be dead on the Autobahn or pay for a cab?
Bonnie: How much is the cab?
Bean: I think I'll take my chances.
After we all miraculously make it home safe and soundBonnie: Hooray.... we made it... I was so worried....
